John Cenas 10 Best Tag Team Partners

John Cena is considered one of the greatest wrestlers ever, mainly because of his outsized dominance of World Wrestling Entertainment. He has been incredibly successful individually, in fact, he holds the record (alongside Ric Flair) for the most World Titles won, but Cena has also shown that he works very well in a team.

Throughout his career, Cena has had a handful of tag team partners and he managed to form a good team with most of them. However, with some he created really lethal combinations, practically being invincible and it was a real treat to see them pair up.

10 Batista

Perhaps many fans do not remember that Batista and John Cena were tag team partners since most of the time they were rivals, but the truth is that they formed a great team on several occasions.

The Animal and Cena won the World Tag Team Titles on August 4, 2008, after defeating Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. They only lasted seven days as champions, but there is no doubt that this was a fantastic team with a lot of talent and power. They also won a PPV main event at Armageddon 2006.

9 The Rock

On November 20, 2011, at Survivor Series, The Rock and John Cena formed one of the most charismatic and spectacular teams of all time to defeat Awesome Truth (R-Truth and The Miz).

This match was very special because it meant the return to the ring of The Rock after more than seven years. Surely the fans long to see them together again, but this is something that happens only once in a lifetime.

8 Nikki Bella

John Cena and his then-girlfriend Nikki Bella formed a mixed tag team four times and were literally unstoppable. Fans loved to see them using the power of their love in the ring.

Easily their best moment as a team was at WrestleMania 33 when they defeated Maryse and The Miz and after the match, John Cena proposed to Nikki Bella, in what was a truly beautiful moment.

7 The Undertaker

John Cena and The Undertaker joined forces eight times, and each one was amazing. As if the enormous talent they had was not enough, all of their opponents were also incredible.

All of their matches were epic, but one of the best was during a Raw in Madison Square Garden in which The Deadman and Cena defeated the powerful D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels and Triple H) and Chris Jericho and The Big Show in a triple threat tag team match.

6 Roman Reigns

This team had a perfect record, which is really impressive. Roman Reigns to have surprising chemistry with John Cena to form an excellent team.

They destroyed all their opponents, no matter who challenged them, Reigns and Cena were always victorious. They had very interesting matches against The Wyatt Family, Randy Orton, Kane, Seth Rollins, The Big Show, and more.

5 Becky Lynch

This could be the dream mixed tag team, as this is one of the most incredible intergender teams that has ever existed. Both John Cena and Becky Lynch dominated WWE at times, became the top faces of the company.

On December 29, 2018, during an episode of SmackDown Live, The Man and Cena teamed up to face Andrade Almas and Zelina Vega. After 10 minutes, Cena and Lynch won the match and Becky mocked him aterward.

4 Shawn Michaels

On January 29, 2007, John Cena won his first World Tag Team Title with Shawn Michaels, after beating Rated-RKO (Edge and Randy Orton). This was a good title reign, which lasted 63 days.

The Heartbreak Kid and John Cena worked very well together, Michaels' technique and Cena's power turned out to be a great combination. In addition to getting the belts, they had very good matches, like the one against The Undertaker and Batista at WWE No Way Out 2007. While champions, they headlined WrestleMania 23 against each other.

3 Triple H

Many think that John Cena was never a great tag team wrestler, but actually, he had a lot of great tag team matches and Triple H was one of his best teammates.

The Game and The Face That Runs The Place made a great team, and while they didn't win titles, they won almost all of their matches and they always put on a great show. They had several very good matches against rivals like Edge, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, and The Big Show.

2 The Big Show

John Cena and The Big Show faced each other many times, but they were also on the same team on multiple occasions. Together, they made up one of the most powerful teams in WWE, they were not fast or very technical, but their great strength made their matches worth watching.

The truth is that unfortunately there was never a great storyline for the team made up of The World's Largest Athlete and John Cena, however, they did an excellent job in their matches together.

1 Randy Orton

Certainly, John Cena and Randy Orton will always be remembered for starring in one of the greatest rivalries in history, but curiously they also formed an exceptional team.

They teamed up quite often, though not usually on television. Still, every time they stepped into the ring they destroyed their opponents. The Legend Killer and John Cena did not win the Tag Team Titles but were great together.
