Austin Butler seriously needs to drop that faux-Elvis accent already

It’s getting ridiculous. You’re from fucking California. And he sometimes speaks with an Australian accent too. Does he not know who he is?

He looks very tall and handsome though. Jimmy Fallon ruins the interview. He never shuts up and I hate his faux laugh.

He is overselling this dreed of a movie. There have been endless articles about how he prepared for the role. I don't even have any interest in seeing it anymore.

It will interesting to see if how well the movie performs.

Remember how Fox was stunned with the numbers Bohemian Rhapsody did because none of the execs really grasped how beloved Mercury was, including in places like Japan and Korea. I don't think Elvis has the same global luv, but maybe the Lurhrman style -- "throw everything at the screen like a meth party and see what sticks" -- will appeal.

Good point. Both the BoRap teaser but especially the trailer were very enticing. The trailer for this movie needs a re-edit: it's oddly unengaging.

The movie is getting awful reviews. Why is Baz Luhrmann getting money to produce anything. His exhausting style was played out immediately in Moulin Rouge.

I haven't seen the movie, i'm sure he did a decent job as Elvis. But i'm finding it a bit cringe.

I've met Austin many years ago and we bump into each other at events every once in a while.

I've always found him without any personality. He's handsome though and tall but just blank.

I'm presuming he's a method actor who's just gone overboard. Most actors are certifiable so I don't why people expect them to be sane and interviewable.
